Through-hole copper plating is the first plating step in PCB manufacturing.
Through-hole copper plating requires two processes:
Chemical plating: Forming a thin layer of copper using a chemical method on the plastic surface of the hole.
Electroplating: Increasing the thickness of the copper inside the hole as well as on the surface by using an electric current, creating a thick copper layer with a dense structure.
